Good Night Oahu, Good Morning Maui

Tropical Plantation

We woke up about 7am this morning not realising the time as our room has no natural daylight! The ship sailed overnight from Honolulu to Maui so we got up, had some breakfast and went out into the beautiful sunshine 🙂 We didn’t book an excursion today so found a taxi and asked the driver to take us for a tour around the local attractions. His name was Abraham, he was from the Philippines and he looked like he was in his late 50’s but was actually 70!

He took us to Iao Valley; a beautiful valley with spectacular views of the mountains, Kepaniwai Heritage Gardens; which showcases Maui’s ethnic heritage, and then to the Tropical Plantation where we fed some baby ducks (although the food was meant for the fish)!

Abraham dropped us back at the port and we spent the afternoon by the pool on the top deck. We are going to watch a Polynesian dance show tonight and then another early night as we have booked an excursion for tomorrow morning.
