We flew from Honolulu to San Jose on Saturday afternoon, we picked up our hire car and drove an hour and a half to Carmel Valley Ranch. It’s so beautiful here, a welcome calmness after the busyness of the cruise. It reminds me of Center Parcs; there are huge trees, amazing views of rolling green hills and great facilities, including swimming pools and a spa. There’s an adults only pool by the spa that I spent a few hours at this afternoon, after a massage. We are really close to Monterey, where Paul and I visited last time.
We are staying here for three nights, but we’d all like to stay longer. Summie has fallen in love with the little swing by reception, every night after dinner they put out free s’mores packs and the food here is so much better than the other places we have stayed. We all feel very content and relaxed. I would definitely come back here.
