For some reason we thought it would be a good idea to get a 49 hour train from Sacramento to Chicago (2000 miles). It was cheaper than flying and we wanted to see the Rocky Mountains in Colorado. It also means we get to go through 7 states; California, Nevada, Utah, Colorado (to a little place called Aspen!), Nebraska, Iowa and Illinois.
We stocked up on DVD’s so we have enough to last us 2 days, so far we have watched Adventureland and Hot Tub Time Machine :). We have a tiny cabin with 2 seats that turn into a bed and another fold up bed above, so we have bunk beds! The cabin is only 2m x 1m but at least we have somewhere to sleep!
